CZ 452 Training rifle ????
« on: April 23, 2005, 06:08:19 AM »
Just ordered a CZ 452 training rifle and while I'm waiting I want to order scope rings.  But !  I can't find out if the receiver is grooved for 22 rings, or drilled and taped for bases?  can someone help me???

Thanks 8)

The CZ452 Training rifle has a grooved receiver. The grooves on this model measure 11mm rather than the 3/8" grooves found on most American made .22's. You can use rings made by BKL, Millet Angle-Loc, or the rings made by CZ. Also there is an adapter available from 11mm to Weaver that works well.

While you are waiting on your rifle, I suggest a visit to www.cz452.com
Brookie has much good information on the CZ 452's.

Congratulations on your rifle. You will like the very accurate CZ 452.

:D Thanks:

I have a set of Millet angle loc's for a 22 in the gun case.  I do love Millet rings, but didn't know if they would fit.

   Thanks,

any suggestions as to ammo that works best??

As to ammo, mine likes Wolf MT the best. Wolf can be a little pricey if you do a lot of shooting. As with any rifle, you'd do well to experiment with different brands. You may get really lucky and have a rifle that shoots the $.90 a box ammo.

Your .22 Millet rings won't sit down directly on the receiver, but will still provide plenty of holding power for rimfire shooting. I used them for a long time with no problems. The Millet Angle-Locs designed for the 11mm dovetail are fairly pricey, so I'd use the ones you have.

What size scope are you thinking of using?

Juat wanted to say that I love and enjoy my Trainer immensely.  It is feed a diet of Aguila, CCI, and Winchester, and I will have to aquire some of the Military Sellier & Bellot Target Grade found at AIM.
