wal-mart price of the model 500?? good for water fowling?

does any body know the mart price of the mossberg 500 12 .ga 28"? will it last and be reliable ? if the wood stock gets to messed up i canget a synthetic for it, so thays not a problem.... THANKS for any info!!

A mossberg, Remington and Winchester pump action will last you plenty long to get your money out of it, so no worry there.  I think you will find these guns were made to be out in the woods getting bumped up.  So I say get it, shoot it, and walk home with some fresh meat for the freezer  :) .

The 28 may be a tad on the light side for waterfowl. Incedently, check regulations. I'm not remembering seeing a great deal of Non Tox. I'm sure there is some out there for upland areas that require it.

I believe he meant the bbl is 28 inches long.  It is a 12ga he mentions.
