Just got back from the gunshop on a reloading supplies trip and saw the new Ultra Varmit Fluted in .223 he had just gotten in Friday. I liked the feel of the stock and especially the wide forearm. The adjustable insert for mounting a bipod caused me some discomfort as I positioned it where I thought I would have my bipod located and the adjustable screw was where I wanted to put my left hand. Of course, I would only have this possible issue when freehanding a shot and not on a bench.
The trigger was much lighter than the .223 Handi I got 4 weeks ago that measured 4.5 lbs. I am guessing that this trigger was closer to 3 lbs and seemed to break very clean.
The asking price was $280. Anyone else see one of these yet or bought one?
