Author Topic: Weaver Grand Slam VS Bushnell Elite 4200 (Read 1494 times)

Hi guys I'm looking at 2 scopes one Weaver G.S. 4 1/2 X 14 X 40 silver and a 4 x 16 x 40 Elite 4200 matte.
Both are around the same price up here,what do you guys think of them?
It will be used on a 257 STW ON A RUGER #1B RIFLE,FOR LONG RANGE HUNTING.
They both are very clear and look well made,both have life time warranty.
What do you guys think?

I got a couple of the Elite 4200's and havce been happy with them. One is a 6 X 24 on my Bushmaster Varmint Master. Every bit as clear as my Luepold's. Compared it side by side with a Leupold, Zeiss, and a Weaver. The 4200 was the clearest and the sharpest.

For me it would be a no brainer, I'd chose the Bushnell Elite 4200.

I recently shot a rifle at the range with a Weaver GS on it. They are good scopes, but for the money, which is close to the Elite 4200s, I just can't see myself buying the G.S.

I own a lot of Elite 4200s and they are one of the top two best values in scopes.

BTW, all of the Elite scopes that I have bought were purchased from Jon at the Optic Zone. Never had a problem with any of them, and the price and the service were excellent.
