I have a WInchester 63 I bought a couple of years ago. I paid $350 for it, I think. It doesn't have much collector value because the previous owner had it drilled and tapped for a scope. But, it is pure death on gophers and ground squirrels, which is why I bought it. It also holds something like 17 rounds, which is more the federally mandated 10 round clips on my 10/22. It's also built with what I call nice Winchester quality, in other words, real wood and nice machining.
I see taurus is planning a reproduction, which might be a good way to go for a shooter.
