How cool is this? Double barrel G2...... (link)

I think this just helped me make up my mind about whether to get an Encore or a G2.

Check out the JKL barrel.  Twice the fun!

If it is an accurate rig, this is a winner IMHO.  I'm thinking .17 HMR carbine DOUBLE BARREL.  Let's see somebody else show up with one of those at the gun club!

Whatchuthink?

The WZL barrel is pretty cool too.  Shoot rimfire in your Encore.

Well that is a cool idea, just not sure how practical for that kind of money (and I know Mike does good work).  I assume the bottom bore is set off to the side of the top bore so that the centerfire firing pin will work.  I guess you sight one barrel in and just use the old Kentucky windage method for the other barrel since it is at a different height and side to side to side distance from the sights.  This is a good concept for a shotgun that throws a big pattern, not sure about the usefulness with a gun like this.  Good novelty I guess.

Looking at the picture it seems centered left to right.  I had the same concerns though, figuring it was at a different height.  That may be less of a problem. but if using a 22LR and a 17HMR POI would be quite different I would think.

I think it looks cool also, but is a bit rich for my budget.  Maybe run into a used one somewhere.

to the best of my knowledge the bores are centered left to right. i'm not sure what distance(call mike) they are sighted to hit same point of aim, but somewhere out there they should. you may even be able to specify a yardage :?
firing of each barrel is accomplished(fairly sure but contact mike for reassurance) by switching the selector on the hammer. fire one barrel with the selector on "centerfire", and the other barrel will fire on "rimfire". as far as older frames without the selector.......i havn't a clue if they will work on those. again...........give mike sirois at OTT a call. :D

I just assumed that the barrels were offset left to right since he was using the centerfire firing pin for rimfire.  I am not sure where the factory rimfire pin hits the cartridge.  I assume her could have raised the top one and got the centerfire pin in the right position and kept them in line.  I know, I could call him but since I have no plans to buy one I just enjoy guessing  .

I would guess that the rimfire pin hits the bottom of the top case and the centerfire pin hits the top of the bottom case.  That woulg give the maximum distance between barrels.

Still pretty cool.  To me anyway.
