Well Ranger, I got to play with the RNV again. Then I called up Jay's and got put on the list. Actually JJ said I was the first to ask for a polished stainless version. I'm almost embarassed to tell you why I decided to get one. We started a small group at church this spring that enjoyed shooting single actions and watching old cowboy movies. That has evolved into doing historic re-enactments and theatrical gunfights! We have been fairly popular so far. Anyway, I was playing with a friends NV and tried some spinning. I have been playing with learning spins into and out of my holster. (Empty gun only!) That 4 5/8" NV is the best balanced gun I have handled for this. It also helps that the trigger is full width of the guard and sits forward (a trait I have always disliked with Rugers) quite a bit. Well, the combination of balance and less room in the trigger guard actually made it look like I knew what I was doing. So now I need a stainless NV so I can be showy at our preformances. (I can also carry it in the woods hunting. That's a win/win) I've come up with a lot of reasons to buy a new gun over the years, but this is a new one! 44 Man
