I have heard of Hill country out of Texas, but not High country, Hill country builds custom rifles. :D    JIM

Yes, High Point has been around for awhile. Their pistols and rifles are very low budget, I don't own one and probably will never will but have shot the little 9mm carbine rifle at the range, fun to shoot no problems with it as it got passed around for everyone at the range to try. I have seen mixed opinions reguarding the pistols, they either like them or hate them. You could buy a reliable handgun or end up with a lemon, which really happens with all manufactures.

I own 2 of the compact 9s and never have a problem with them- no jams- no stuck cases. My brother drives a towtruck at night so i gave him one to carry, small light weight and easy to shoot. on a scale of 1 to 10 i,d give it a 7 :D

Stimpy, in many states you'd be in real hot water if your bro-in-law somehow misused that gun.  You'd best SELL it to him for $1.00 and divest yourself of the responsibility.
