Got my 1911 back today.

I got my 1911 back today, but they kept my Wilson Mag, and returned my gun with a ACT MAG, some Italian made mag. That P.Oed me. Tomorrow they are going to get a call. I hope they rectify it. Other than that the new Match barrel looks nice, and they refinished the frame and slide. Looks like they may have even put brand new sights on. The Mag are a little harder going in also. They hit the release button inside the well and you have to give it a good push to "bump" over it, and get it to click. I can live with that though.

I called S&W this morning, they said they`ll send my mag back. I went to the range today, and the gun shot good, with no malfunctions, and tight groups. 2" group at 25yds. One hole 20 shots, with two fliers. The clip insertion problem, I thought I had was no problem. It was in my head. It felt normal at the range. I was real happy with my targets. Now, only if I can get my wilson mag back.

I might have missed a post somewhere, but why did you send it back to Smith?
Best,

I sent the gun back because I didn`t like the barrel. It had a poor crown. I told them, go ahead and install a target barrel in it. So it went to the performance center. But came back a shooter!
