Will the Harris style bipods stand up to use on a 50 cal.
rifle with stout loads.Thinking about a 9-13" and
wondering if it will hold up to use off the bench.
Thanks for any info on these.I'm looking at the ones that
attach to the front swivel stud.

I personally do not like bipods for bench work. Just to unstable for me. I prefer a sandbag. I sold almost all my bipods, I like shooting sticks while hunting also double as a walking stick.

Thanks for the info.I think I'll stick to sandbags for benchwork
also,just seems like it would be more stable.Any rcommendations
on a good walking/shooting stick?

DEPUTY, that is what I use, stoney point. It was a life saver in Alaska.

Sandbags are definitly better for bench work. However, Harris bipods are GREAT in the field. I use the long 3-piece leg model on my Omega.
