Tech Force rifle advice needed
« on: April 26, 2005, 11:11:13 AM »
Thank you for your responses to my last post (Lawdog your post was especially helpful).

I'm going to go ahead and get a Tech Force rifle and a air rifle scope from BSA to match it. I am looking at the following options and wanted a comparrison on them for uses in hunting (max size will be crow and small rabbits).

Tech Force 34 in .177

Tech Force 34 in .22

Tech Force 97 in .177

Tech Force 97 in .22

Thanks again

The Tech Force 25 is on sale for $100 right now as well (.177 and .22 available).

Would this be better for my purposes than the other rifles in the above post?

Forget the model 34.  The difference between the Model 25 and 97 boils down to this.  Accuracy goes to the Model 97 while ease of loading goes to the Model 25.  Power goes to the Model 25 by a small margin.  Price is the same for both.  Caliber choice goes to the .22 for small game hunting.  More power, more hitting force so the .22 caliber just hits harder.  Unless your an accuracy nut, like I am, the Model 25 in .22 gets the pick by a very small edge.  Lawdog
