bipod setup for Survivor
« on: April 26, 2005, 04:49:37 PM »
Hi ya'll, newbie to the board, with probably a newbie question.  Im about to purchase my second survivor and i am wondering about bipod mounting options.  Ive seen a couple fitted with bipods but im not sure how.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I put a Shooter's Ridge/Outer's prone folding, telescoping bipod for my H&R and it just mounts to the front sling stud http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=119746

the pic is a Harris but works the same.

Ya, the only thing i was wondering about was how the sling stud on the survivor is horizontal coming out of the forehand grip, rather than a vertical one which i am used to mounting bipods to.  Do you think this is still going to work alright with that bipod, thanks again.

you mean like this

just drill in the end of the stock and put a stud in
then connect to your bipod

the stock is factory on the survivor
the scope is 6x24x44 but has a 8 inch sunshade
and i drilled through the stock and put a nut on the inside of the stock
it is plenty strong enough
