California proposes requiring bullet ID numbers

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California's attorney general introduced pioneering legislation on Tuesday that would require all bullets sold in the nation's most populous state to bear tiny identification numbers.

The bill, aimed at helping investigators solve crime, would require ammunition vendors to submit sales records to a state registry starting in 2007. Anyone bringing bullets into the state not bearing the tiny serial number etched by laser could be punished for up to a year in prison.

They may talk of a "New Order" in the  world, but what they have in mind is only a revival of the oldest and worst tyranny.   No liberty, no religion, no hope.   It is an unholy alliance of power and pelf to dominate and to enslave the human race.

I dont know about that.

As I see it, this is exactly the type of crap that sails through out there in Kaliphornia. Believe it.

I my self take this "proposal" quite seriously.

You would be surprised at how many politicians that get elected, who are more than willing to take away the few "rights" that you have left, under the guise of safety (re-election).

Go back 50 years, and check the gun laws in those days. Now compare them with todays laws.

Sad.

Beings that all I shoot is my own cast in everything, wounder ifin I have to number them. Was thinking about engraving "fornaca--U on them, course that would not be PC correct. Seemed they tried this once before, along with a 5 cent tax per boolet, which also got shot down. I have enough jacketed boolets to last me a life time, and enough lead to probably last just as long. As for primers, powder, and gas checks, have a good supply laid in and the Nev. state line is a short drive away.
