An Anchorage guide was convicted this week of helping his clients break fishing laws and contracting for an illegal hunt, Alaska State Troopers said Friday.

Marty Myre, 34, who owns the Hook and Bullet Guide Service, was convicted in Anchorage District Court on Thursday of one count of being a sportfish guide assisting a client with a violation and of one count of unlawful acts as a big-game guide, troopers said.
