I posted a thread
"I made up my mind on which one to get!!!, and I probably will get the
"Stainless PX9151L 45 ACP Loaded Pistol". Having said that, in the next few weeks
I may be in a position "MONEY WISE" were I'll be able to get the
"Tactical Response Pistol TRP Stainless Steel PC9107L". My question is, is the "TRP" worth the extra money. I can get the "loaded pistol" locally for $699 plus tax. I haven't seen any "TRP's" locally (haven't been looking for the "TRP", but I haven't seen any either) but on the internet I've seen them from $1125 to $1200. I'm going to split the "carry time" with this pistol and my Glock 22. I also have a G27 for the warmer weather, it conceals better the the full-size Glock 22. I also shoot my pistol (rifles and shotguns too) regularly, I don't just carry them, then put them away.
This is my first 1911 pistol. I'm a little reluctant to get the "TRP" because I would also like to get the
"Stainless Steel PX9130L 9mm Pistol" soon after I get the 45 ACP. I haven't had a 9mm in about five years and I really want another one. For the cost of the "TRP" I would only need to spend anther $250 or so and I could have both a "loaded" 45 ACP and a 9mm.
Are the "loaded" pistols just as reliable as the "TRP's"? Like I said I'm going to carry and shoot these pistols. I shoot them to "practice" and keep "sharp" incase I ever have to use them for self defense (and I enjoy shooting!), I want to be able to hit what/who I'm aiming at and not someone/something else, I don't believe in the spray and pray theory! I won't use them as "target guns". It doesn't have to be "the best" or "cost the most", I'm looking for good reliable pistols that wouldn't wear out to fast, something my family, wife and three kids (my two daughters (12 and
for now, my son is still way to young, hes only 3 1/2) can have fun with. The 9mm would be great for them!
