I went to the Corbon sight and checked out the price of their DPX ammo in 45 ACP and found it was over $1/round.  Who has the pocket book that'll allow him to buy enough of that stuff to practice with and feel comfortable that it'll feed reliably through his gun?  Like Bob Dylan said, it ain't me babe.

Im sorry, I know people are going to disagree with me. But, I do not get into all the bullet hype that comes along with "carry guns and ammo". Just give me a good old Hollow point. Most any is fine with me. Any out of the box 50 cents a piece hollow point is fine. Hell, some times I do not even have hollow points in my carry .45ACP.

But, it is like anything, if you put a big price tag on it people will buy it because it costs more. So, it most be good. Hollow point or not, the avg. 200 pound 6 foot tall man is not going to feel to good about the gut shot he just took.

If you want a trust worthy round I say go with about any old out of the box common round HP or FMJ it really dont matter.  I think the gun the ammo is in, is mostly peoples problams. Some guns only like to eat some thing and some guns are led pipes. You just have to find what you trust and you gun likes.

I agree with HouseofCash.

All this hype with named ammo is asinine.  There isn't a soul on earth that will feel very well after getting hit with even a .22RF short.

El Cheapo JHP ammo down at Wally World will kill a badguy just as dead and the fancy named stuff.
