I figure Ill attempt to post a pic of a field cannon I built. The cannon is a .30 cal. Ive build the carraige my self and aquired the barrel from I beleive his screename is the irishman, He has a sticky his website is called Brooksusa he has some real nice barrels and there are very reasonablely priced. (Ive built a few cannon from his barrels. If this posting works out right. Ill post some more cannon that I have either built or aquired. Its been like eating potato chips you can have just one.

And you were asking me how I made wheels----from the looks of your pics, you need to be answering questions, not asking them!! Very impressive work.

I picked up this book on making wagon wheels. And found out doing it by the book was rather complex. So I did quite a bit of improvising and wood putty. The rims are actually 3 peices, I drilled through the rims to put the spokes through. Which is why they are covered with brass strip. The hub was made by using my drill press as a lathe. Unfortuntley I had to paint it for the carraige was made of Mahogany. Id say it took about 15-20 hours just to make the wheels alone. And I still have 2 field cannon barrels needing carraiges. They might have to wait until Winter time. I find Naval carraiges about 10 times easier to make.
