What height scope rings on S&W 629 Light Hunter?
« on: May 04, 2005, 04:32:38 PM »
Does anybody know what height of weaver-type scope rings (low, medium, high) should be used to mount a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32 scope on a Smith&Wesson 629 Light Hunter, using the factory weaver base?

Is it always better to use the lowest rings available,  or is there not much difference in actual use?

Thanks.

You will want them high enough so you can get to the hammer, because you can mount them low enough to go on the gun but to low to make it hard to getting to the hammer. Med or high work fine.  :D
