this is an old Canadian brand, but some of you might be familar with it. i'm buying up .30-40 Krag ammo & brass and some one offered me a box of 17 rounds of Dominion. i'm familar with the brand, i've had a few boxes in .303. but it seems to be somewhat collectible. last gunshow i was at, of the 3 boxes of Krag ammo i found, one was Dominion. it only had 19 rounds in the box and was priced at $45, and unlike a lot of the other ammo that dealer had it was under lock and key. i'm wondering if this stuff has any collectors value, and if i should just look for 3 loose rounds to fill the box and put it aside instead of shooting it.

As far as the Dominion ammo goes, I think it depends on the caliber. Since they made a number of obscure calibers long after others stopped, they do have some value. If I had a box of 17 .30-40 Krag, I'd not shoot them, as there's still a decent supply of it in other brands, so you don't really need to shoot it.
 Dominion was also sold as Cannuck, and Canadian Industries Ltd.
 I've got a couple boxes of .43 Spanish, and a bunch of .32 Rimfire in the old Cannuck and Dominion boxes.

Is a single piece (or two) or Dominion 38 Special brass worth anything more than regular 38 Special brass?

Single pieces of very common brass have very little value, regardless of maker. Empty brass, or loaded ammo in very rare calibers, or of very early manufacture can have some good value, but .38 spl brass is not one of them.

What about the worth of boxes of Dominion and CIL brand 22lr.  Also bricks of the stuff, cardboard box and plastic wrapped stuff?  Thanks

Dominion .22 ammo is not often seen any more. Unopened bricks would definitely have some value over their original value as shooting ammo to collectors. I'd have to think that unopened boxes of this ammo would be worth several dollars a box at minimum.

Bought an old 22 Savage off of my neighbour, they came with a few boxes didn't realize they were worth something....!

..wonder where to find out the details?

Be careful firing the old cases. I had one Dom. 303 Brit mixed in some Win and Rem mixed 303s, and accidentally fired it. Ejected in 2 pieces. Dont know if it was brittle, or just wore out from being reloaded. DM
