Well, mounted my Mueller 2X7 Illumi Dot on my new Handi 45-70.......found out a couple of things...........first, I'm a weenie
......second, my Handi is a SHOOTER. Shot at 50 yards today because of good ol' Oklahoma wind. Fired 2 shots to get it centered on the bull, then two more shots for a group.All I could handle without a Simms on it, plus been going to doc for my shoulder, torn muscle. Well the 2 shots I fired for group made one ragged hole! Very happy with it and the Mueller. Will be a dandy Handi for deer hunting the woods around here ( and when it's cold, I have on more than a tshirt when I fire it!)
My 243 Handi does not like the washer in the foreend for sure, shots all over the target, one even missied the whole target.
My Rossi bull barrel 223 loved the 45 grain Whitebox though, all my shots were touching at 50 yards. Time for a few Bud Lites for my poor shoulder :toast: LaterFriends.
