Scope mount for Encore 22-250/375H&H/.45ML
« on: May 07, 2005, 08:53:27 AM »
I'm putting together an encore package with the following barrels:  22-250, 375H&H, and a .45 ML - all 26" SS.  My question is the scope mounting system (assuming one scope for three barrels) - I have used the Leupold QR base and rings in the past with success, but how about opinions on that setup on the 375H&H.

Thanks

Todd

if your looking to keep this barrel for a long time an plan on having some heavy rounds come out of it
i would go with a 6 screw base an a set of three rings from buris with ther plastic inserts i think ther called ""pro zee rings""

personally I would not do it. For my 22-250 I have an IOR Valdada 3.5X10X56mm, which is not a good choice in my opinion for the 375H&H. I am getting a 416 Rigby for my Encore and I am putting a Leupold VariXII 1X4X20 on it. My 50 Cal M/L is topped with a Leupold 2X7X36mm scope.

I don't like having to resight my guns in every time I want to shoot them. And I recommend Warne rings and mounts. JMHO. :D
