Gentlemen
I am getting a new handi 270 next week. I am new to these forums. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I do have the ability to hand load. i would like to use factory 130 gr silver tips for deer.maybe some varmint hunting with 110 gr. thanks

Clean it thoroughly, and make sure the chamber is wiped dry before you shoot it. Also, make sure the scope base is on tight before you mount the rings. Some of us like to remove the scope base, degrease, and put it back on with locktite on the screws before we ever try to shoot the gun. If you shoot off the bench, try putting your front sandbag just in front of the trigger guard.

Welcome aboard, Kenpen!!

I'm sure some of the .270 shooters will chime in soon, I've only shot the rem 130gr in mine, but they both shoot less than 1½" groups with it, intend on trying some of the 130gr Federal Fusion ammo in both of mine sometime soon, though.

Welcome bro!! Before I caught the Muzzleloader bug, I owned many Remington 700`s in .270 and the .270 is my favorite caliber, real tack drivers. If I get another one, it will either be a Handi or a Stevens model 200. Good luck-Jack.
