My Ruger 77 in 243 likes IMR4831 for both 75 and 85gr bullets.
Good Shooting,
George

I get excellent accuracy using IMR 4064 and the 70 grain V-max pellets.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

dancoman,
How does that 6mm shoot?  What to get 1 , but i think Ruger is the only 1 making them.  .243 will do, but I like to be different.

please advise                    thanks  coalminer7

CM7 - MY Ruger 77 shoots less than 11/2 '' at 200 with the 95 gr NBT and RL22 (48.5 grs i believe, will have to check my book).

I like to be differant - Thats why i got one too.

I find my .243Win. works best with the lighter bullets using IMR4064 or IMR4895.  This would include 70gr. up through the 85gr bullets.
Best wishes.

Add to what the others have said the following are powers you can try.  H414, H380, IMR-4320, IMR-4064, IMR-4895, IMR-3031 just to name a few that work great in the .243 using the 75 gr. Hornady V-Max.  Lawdog

although there were other powders that i could get a little more velocity out of, the h380 gave me the best results pushing a 70g speer tnt hp. i always loved using that powder out of my 243.

I load H4350/44.5gr with the 75gr Vmax. Excellent accuracy at 2.640" OAL.

Good question Coalminer as I will probably try that bullet when I get around to moving back to WV(groundhogs/coyotes).  I have plenty of IMR 4350 on hand but have "heard/read" that Ramshot Big Game is a good 'un on 75-85gr. bullets.  Good luck with your search.
