Just wondering what you folks THAT HAVE the 24" 223 Encore Barrels have to say about if there is any group size difference noted between the stainless barrel and the Blued ones???

My blue 24" standard taper factory barrel shoots around .5" at 100 yards with real cheap factory loads. It will probably shoot better than this but that is as good as I have shot it. Never shot a stainless one?

Why would you expect a difference? Fine barrels are made of both carbon and stainless steel.

i was told by someone who made barrels that stainless are usually more accurate over the long haul since the metal isnt exactly the ame as blued, that it holds its "edge" better on the rifling longer.

like a carbon steel knife as compared to a cheaper steel.
