Wow $140.  What would the range of a BC with one of these sights be with a good load?  I have read that the Williams sight tops out at some point (200 yards??)   How much would a sight like this extend that?

$140 is low priced for a long range sight.....here's Ians's report on his 45-90 BC with a Smith ladder sight. If you use the search function at the top of the page, select the all terms button and NEF/H&R Centerfire forum from the drop down, and smith ladder sight as the search subject, you'll get lots of hits.

Talk to "montanan" he has done quite a bit with that type of sight on his BC.

I tried one on mine but the sight was sloppy and would not stay up, so I ended up putting on a tang sight.  That worked real well for me.  With smokeless loads, 600yds was about halfway up.
