As I mentioned, we have 2 types of airgun reset stands. One is Mike's portable design and the other is a fixed stand that he modified for us to work as a reset. Since it's more convenient at our facility to use the portables for our weekly, evening, indoor air pistol program and the heavy, modded stands for our outdoor rifle matches, I can't comment on vibration drops from sporter and open rifles on the lighter portables. Let me see if I can get you information on that.
We have just instituted a weekly, Thursday evening 'fun' match using the smallbore rifle targets. (We set half the range at full distance for 'real' silhouette and half the range at short line distances for those who want 'easier'.) When I'm over there this week, I'll take pics of all our reset types (2 airgun styles, smallbore rifle and hunters pistol 1/2 scale smallbore and centerfire) and email them to you. PM me with your email if it's not posted.
IMO, you can't go wrong buying Mike's stands for airgun. OTOH, SB and Hunters Pistol stands are heavy enough that shipping would probably be prohibitive, even if he were prepared to make them. If you want to build the smallbore/pistol stands, or have them built, I'll put you in touch with the club members who designed and made them and they'll help you with details.
