Need info and source for Encore forearm screws
« on: May 08, 2005, 08:23:27 PM »
It is my understanding that the screw/thread size for the Encore fore arm screws is 8x40. IS THAT CORRECT????

Next, if that is correct, that size appears to be somewhat difficult to find???

I need a source for bulk screws that are 1/4" or a little longer.

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance.

#8-40 is correct. I believe Brownells has them, but you may have to shorten them to length. I think they are socket head cap screws also.   KN

8x40 is a fairly common thread size used in firearms.  Brownells has them in slotted and socket head and a couple of head shapes...

If you need screws for an Encore, contact Thompson Center Arms!

They will put them in the mail, almost as you speak!
