EABco. laminated stocks Pepper?
« on: May 11, 2005, 02:15:38 PM »
Anyone able to comment on the laminated Encore stocks from E.A. Brown? They sell for $109.00 Thats seems like a fair price to me. Wondering about the fit & finish.

I would love to see a picture of the pepper colored one if you have one.

Thanks.

The laminated stocks that EA Brown sells are from Boyd,s-They are good stocks and EA Brown sells them at a good price. Go to their web page....Boydboys.com  they will have a pic on the site.

Excellent fit and finish. The only problem I have is they cost a few $$$ more when I bought mine. but still worth the money.

One note if you are shooting a pretty heavy recoiling caliber you might want to replace the solid rubber recoil pad with a Simms Vibration Limbsaver Pad. Off a bench my 209x50 put a hurtin on my shoulder after 10 shots or so with the solid pad. They do work great.

I really like the laminated stock, but they do add a lot of weight, great for the heavy loaded 45/70 barrel but when long distance trudging thru snow I still go with the super light synthetic stock.  It is much more accurate with the laminated stock though.
