Condi Rice on 2nd Amendment

She says her father protected her family in Alabama during racial tensions during the early 60s.  She said the 2nd amendment is just as important as the 1st amendment.  Well worth looking at this brief article.

I don't like the part she says about the gun shows. I for one would rather have the Rep in Colorado who went to Tombstone to tell the minutemen they our heros. Could be wrong but I thik I read someplace that Rice like her boss referred to the Minutemen as vigilantes.

I still like Condi. They can call the minutemen what they like, they are true Americans in my book. GO MINUTEMEN. POWDERMAN.

I'm very happy with Rice's comments.  It beats the heck out of what most prominent politicians will say publically in support of the second amendment these days.

One thing I noticed in rereading the AP summary of her 2nd amendment comments is the AP editorializing at the end.  I wonder why they found it necessary to deconstruct the text of the second amendment and point out that some people believe it does not address an individual right?  I think that was a little bit leading and slanted.  I also question their abridging the text of the second amendment -- it just isn't that long folks -- and breaking it into what look like two equal parts.
