Where does everyone hunt?

I myself hunt mostly up north at the club I belong to in Oseola, I usually hunt the first few days of southern teir with my muzzle loader but since I,I'm no fan of hunting deer with a shot gun I go back north. Maybe after I get my pistol permit I'll hunt more in the southern zone. What about you fellas?

Putnam county, a friend of my fathers has a piece of property over there. Dad's been hunting there since I was still crawling on all fours, I've been hunting there with him since I started hunting. Its shotgun only, so I've been thinking about trying some hunting in Orange county so I can see what all this hype about hunting with a rifle is like.

I do most of my deer hunting in McConnelsville, Oneida Co, NY. Not to far from the "CWD" problem! I hope we can nip this in the bud!

I hunt in Onondaga county.
A bad day of hunting is better than a good day at the golf course.

I hunt a couple of family plots in Schenectady County (shotgun and pistol), one of the centerfire allowed areas in Delaware County and up north near the Sacandaga.  Also, there is a place in Floyd that I have been invited to but haven't gotten there yet.  Mikey.

FW,
I did most of my deerhunting in the Adirondacks and Catskills.
But for the last 15 years,I've hunted right her in the Hudson Highlands of Orange County.
I hunt private property that borders on the West Point Reservation. It's mountain woodlands, and not overrun with deer, but is a great place to be;especially in the Fall. And it's just 15 minutes from my house.

I hunt mostly private land in area's 6C and 6F!

I also hunt some state land (selectively) in area 6C!

Sometimes some of the state land around here is almost like some of the "combat zones" I used to hunt in the Southern Tier! So those are the areas I stay away from!

I find more deer in 6C, but bigger ones in 6F!

I hunt all over NY State. Being retired affords me this great opportunity.I used to hunt in the Russell NY area ( 14 years) and have since joined a friends  club out of Star Lake where I do my early muzzleloading hunting and the first few days of rifle season.I also have a camp in the Finger Lakes- Dundee, NY where I spend the remaining deer season before its off to PA for a week or so of rifle hunting. Back home again if I still can hunt, I will hunt around home here in the Niagara region.

Pete...I am jealous...It sounds like you really enjoy your fall and support the local gas stations.  I wish I could get out that much...I have about another 25 years until I can retire...Hopefully I can get around as much as you do at that time.  Good luck this season.

Putnam, Orange, and Delaware in that order.

Alot more in the first two since Delaware started going downhill about 5 years ago.

Broome and Chenango Counties. Mostly state land, altho I have permission to hunt a piece of private property. Thing is, the posted private property seems to have more hunters on it than most state land I've hunted!
