DD & I met today for the Second Annual Moderator Conference and Coehorn Invitational Shoot. (We were invited to attend a "lurker's" birthday party.) There were at least 6 mortars, one handgonne and one cannon there. (Not to mention the Trebuchet.) As we gathered around and started setting up, the clouds darkened and opened up on us right from the beginning!
It was wet!
How wet was it?
It was so wet that:
Fuses had to be replaced and lit again.
I chose to charge the smaller mortars inside the cab of the truck.
Some of theparticpants stayed safe and dry inside their pickup trucks.
DD made a name for himself braving the rain and loading & firing his 1" cannon.
NO pictures were taken at the shoot.
It was raining so hard that 2 to 4 oz of water would collect in the mortar between shots:

And the birthday dinner and party aftwards was most entertaining and great fun with outstanding food and drink.
To say the least, a good time was had by all.
