My friend just bought a 700 BDL and needs to know how to remove the bolt. Can you hepl? POW

Release is in front of trigger below floor plate catch.

First time I got a new Remington rifle; ya shoulda seen it. Me trying to figure out why I couldn't get the bolt handle out. Then it hit me; ah, there's the bolt-stop :-D

Even when you depress the catch in the front of the trigger asembly it may not release the bolt on the first try. Some of them are real stinkers.
Most of mine work well, but there's always the odd one that'll make you want to curse. Best wishes.

Hmmmm,... I've got one of them. :x Just ticks me off every time I go to clean that thing. I even went so far as to remove the action from the stock and give a thorough cleaning. I noticed that the actuator spring on it has a tendency to bow out away from the trigger housing instead of moving up to actuate the release lever. Me thinks theres a new spring in it's future. :wink:
