It is true that such muzzleloaders are common but they are usually not cocked until one is ready to fire. A modern rifle is always cocked.. Also very few people are capable of safely reducing the pull on a production trigger to a really light pull. the result is a trigger that works until it fails, then a lawsuit.. Plus a 2 1/2 to 3 pound trigger is manageble less can require special handling. Reduce it if you wish but be prepared to explain yourself to a jury,,,
