Hey dhtp, when I get a chance, I'll look up some load data for you from the Sierra manual tonight, 445 super mag is listed. Info will be for jacketed bullets only I think. I would like to know details about your gun. I am very interesred in getting one for myself. Very cool caliber.

Hello,
The Dan Wesson Website lists loading data for the 445 Supermag. You could start with these loads & go from there. Here is address to the website.
www.danwessonfirearms.com

Just look uder the section "Ammo and Brass"

How do you like your 445? I've had a 357 Supermag for @ 16 years & love it. I bought it on my 21st birthday. Several Dan Wessons have followed since then, but I haven't found a 445 yet. The very few I've found have been the wrong barrel length, or blue instead of stainless, or priced well over value. I guess I'm too picky, but I will have one eventually!

I still shoot my 445 but it sure has taken a back seat since i got my cap+ballers. I have the S.S. VH8 in.barrel. I picked up some hardcast 240gr slugs the other day just so i can crank-up ole dan. Most of my previous shooting has been with 220 thru 300gr XTPs for deer, and some 300gr hardcast just for kicks! I have gone as high as 32gr of H-110 with said 300grs for 1750 FPS but man thats stout. Also was thinking bout molycoating some 240grers and see if i can get em to 2000 FPS. Other than this hot-rodding i mainly load my 445 mild. My gun is of the older Palmer factory and it was put together right. It has a very light trigger with 0 creep, the cylinder has no play whatsoever and will shoot 1in group at 50yrds. Did have to send gun in last yr. for broke bushing in cylinder that extractor rod passe's through. It was something i could have easly replaced my self but the buttheads at the new DW forced me to send entire gun in--said it would have to be retimed! $$it i've torn down cylinders lot of times for cleaning i sure as hell didn't need DW for to retime it than.

I shoot a 445 use 1680aa, have some win680 but have not tried it yet. Never load it down. Never could get the grain weight that AA says is max in the case. Still looking for a 375 super, have the dies not the gun. The 445 is for horse power. You want a 44mag get one. You don.t buy a 426 hemi for crusen, that what the new 351 hemi is for!

:D  I started shooting my 445 SM yesterday.  I have the "pistol pack" stainless with 4, 6, and 8 inch barrel.  shooting the 44mag out of it is a piece of cake, but woah.......that 445 is a brute.  I am shooting CPC's 240 and 300gr bullets in the 445, and have Black Hills and Winchester setup for the 44mag.  Still gotta get a scope on the 8" barrel so i can sight it in at 75 or perhaps a 100 yards.  i fired 65 rounds out of it yesterday, and my writst is sore today, so i guess i need to build up to shooting this beast.  DW has a good thing going again.......
