I've found the 168s to shoot VERY good from my semi-autos (M1A & Win Model 100). I took a known good 168gr load (Matchkings in this case), added .2gr extra powder and loaded the bullet until the top groove was JUST covered by the case mouth. I do use heavier mil-spec brass, but if you are using commercial brass. I'd try:
45gr of Varget ....... maybe work this up to 45.5 - but watch for signs of pressure.
44gr of 4895 (either IMR or Hodgdon)
You can also try 44.0 to 45.0gr of IMR 4064 in commercial cases.
BTW - I found the TSXs to leave VERY little copper fouling behind in the bore and performed flawlessly on game - they are definitely my choice for hunting bullets.
