What type of powder and shot do you prefer, when loading 7-7 1/2 light loads?? I just started, getting the basics. Thanks! :D

12 Gauge?

Standard trap load, POWDER: HI-SKOR 700X, Magnum shot (high antimony).

20 Gauge?

Light target load, POWDER: PB, Magnum shot.

For Trap I use Magnum shot, and probably will eventually get back to Red Dot powder.  Red Dot provides about the most economical load.  I have been using 700X, 800X, PB, and SR7625 because I bought some caddies from a shooter retiring from Trap & Skeet.  I might give International Clays a try because it is supposed to be so clean burning, though, once the large caddies are used up.

I like the clean burning and fast speeds of Longshot and magnum shot.

Green Dot works well, with target loads.
