The Baikal's look and feel pretty good and when comparing to the condors it has a better feel and look.  Anybody got any info on them.

My brother in law has the Condor, I bought the wife a Baikal IZH27 Sporting for a starter. The machining on the Baikal is much better, and the Baikal locks up tight as a drum. Everything else is about equal.

Never had a Stoger, but the Baikal I had was a total piece of junk.  Heavy crude triggers.  The gun did not shot an actual  "pattern", nor did it hit where aimed.  Why did I buy it?  Wish I knew, I am still kicking myself for the stupid decision and lost money getting rid of it.

I have a Baikal combo, Stoeger SxS and Huglu O/U.  The Baikal is fine as a combo gun, the Stoeger makes a nice ranch SxS and Huglu makes a very nice O/U.  In the past I have only owned Beretta shotguns, but they are just too nice for the Texas Hill Country.

Depending on your use all three might work.  If your looking for a well made O/U the Huglu is a great choice for the money.

I've never seen or heard of the Huglu, but it's also about twice the price of the stoegers and baikal's.  I just looked at one called a Khan also made in Turkey priced about the same as stoegers.  But can't really find much info on them.  I would like to have a good s/s or o/u that isn't a piece of junk to just shoot around the farm and hunt some with.  Doen't have to be fancy but it's gotta be a good solid shotgun that will hang with me for a few years.

The Stoeger 20 ga. I own fits that description. It's a good solid working good not unlike the old lower price American made guns of the past. It even feels pretty good coming to shoulder. Not as nice as the Huglu's but not bad and for the money a great deal.

Grumps,
Buy the Stoeger...
I have one it is great for what your describing.  Also, one of the local Austin gun shops that has been in business since the 1960's carries the Stoeger and does not carry the Bakail.  They have carried the Stoeger for many many years without issue.
