I had decided to buy a S&W 629 in spite of their reputedly being less than the strongest. Tonight I read a bit about DW's, and here it is 1:44 A.M., and I have only one question left. Is $640 a reasonable price on a NIB stainless 744 with a 6" heavy barrel? Okay, I have two questions; where can I find barrels. I am sold on DW.

$640 is reasonable for a NIB 744

I recently bought a barrel set direct from Dan Wesson.

DW Barrels, shrouds, and sets, show up fairly regularly on eBay.

I haven't looked for them on Gun Auction, etc.
