WNY,
Whither you like chuckie or not,you have to agree that he is a smart poliitician;and he works at it all the time.
This gambit will fool some people, but not harm his 'base'support oof gun haters.
Hillary is a lot like him.Lately, she has said a lot of things to confuse conservative-leaning people.

Shumer is fulla BS.  This would be his first step to reducing our hunting capabilities within NYS.  Shumer has no love for hunters - we own guns.  Let's not forget that.  Save NY Hunting is Pure Shumer BS - what he wants is the federal government to come in and they would come in with some draconian measures - suhc as the halting of hunting until the actual spread of the threat could be determined, then halted, then a ban on hunting until the threat was determined to be over, unless of course it is determined that CWD in some way effects humans, then it would all be over.

Yes, we have a multi million dollar hunting industry in NYS, and it should remain untouched by politicians like shumer, if we want it to remain.

No matter what he says, shumer is anti-gun and anti everything else associated with it.  Let's not forget that to politicians like shumer, a 15 y/o hunter with a 30-30, dressed in hunting camoflage, isn't any different than a Bronx gangbanger with an AK-47 - they are both out looking for a kill with a high powered rifle.   Shumer is fulla schmidt and not to be trusted.

New York State can handle its CWD problem all by its lonesome, without the help of federal authorities.  JMHO.  Mikey.

Bottom line is Chuckie wants to increase the role of federal government EVERYWHERE & ANYWHERE HE CAN!  Big brother in your face;  That's Chuckie.  The fact that this could promote his anti-gun & anti-hunting agenda is just icing on the cake.

The way I figure, as soon as Schumer openes his mouth trying to make it a Federal issue, it gets bigger and more attention, which will make the hunters he's talking about stay away from New York because now they're scared about something they might not have even heard about before.

Chuckie wants to keep the $$$ Ny gets from deer hunting...but he wants us to hunt them with sticks and stones...

Just like the 2-faces pols that put all kinds of restrictions on smokers.
Of course they would never just outlaw it...too much tax gravy money coming in.
BTW...I'm no smoker, but it's clear the smokers are being badly treated..
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

ironglow,

Your take on smokers is very keen. I unfortunately smoke. Sometimes you are looked upon as subhuman. But boy they love the money. The "ideal" liberal situation is to have everyone live long healthy disease-free lives until you are so old you are wearing out and can't do anything anymore. Then they can euthanize you.

I just searched for federal senate bills that referred to CWD (none), wasting (2 -- having to do with terrorism), deer (several -- but only one with Schumer's name on it).

Schumer signed onto Feinstein's AWB bill -- the only thing with Schumer's name on it that has anything to do with "deer."
