New 6.8 Rem Barrels

Can anyone tell me if the new 6.8 Rem barrels will fit my old Contender?
I don't know if the barrels are interchangeable between the G2 and the old Contenders.
I need some enlightenment here.

They were built to interchange, with the exception of the new muzzleloader barrels.  Having said that I have had to stone some of the locking bolts on my older barrels to get them to fit my G2s.  You may have to do some fitting.

Thanks for the info!
I will go ahead and order that new 6.8 Rem barrel.
I am so glad that T/C did not make the new barrels proprietary to the new G2.
