Has anyone had the opportunity to take 2 animals with their combo?  Specifically, have you taken an animal with the shotgun/rifle then another animal immediately with the other barrel?

only grouse

Only shooting grouse with one of the savage 24s.  Spruce grouse are pretty tame.  You can tree a flock, and snipe them out of the trees without them flushing.  However, on many occasions I have got a grouse with the 22, then get one or two of its brethren with a follow up with the scattergun.  Pretty handy for that.
