Sir,
I have the Williams WGRS rear and Fire Sight front on three of my barrels, one of which is a .45-70. Love them.
All I have to do is remove the aperture from the WGRS and I pretty much have a ghost ring, but I have the twilight aperture which I prefer.
One thing to consider if you use a Williams WGOS or WGRS rear sight is you will likely need to change the front sight too, to a taller sight. If you choose to use a Williams front sight and your handi is older, the front sight screw that comes with the Williams is a 6-48 and the older handi front sight is held on by a 3-48 screw. You'll either have to find a 3-48 screw with a bigger head or re-tap the hole to accept a 6-48 screw. I had mine re-tapped. I did this after calls to both H&R and Williams, both of whom gave me bad info on the size of the front sight screw. After my front sights arrived and I saw I had a problem, I made a second call to H&R, personnel told me they did go to a 6-48 front sight screw sometime around the middle of last year. I don't have a handi made after the middle of last year, so I don't know if that's an accurate statement or not. No sour grapes here, I know all I had to do was take off my old front sight and measure the screw, but I didn't.
Didn't mean to be so long winded.
