Holy Mackeral !!! nice looking Boomer  you got there.  ;D
The cannon looks great., but so does your carriage !!!
I hope my carriage turns out., I design my own .,so its a guess .

I placed an order with Michael a little while back for a custom we discussed.
Anyway., he knocked himself  out on this one I think. When it arrived it was everything we had talked about and a bit more. He is certainly turning out some good looking cannons. I love a Gold Gun.

I need to build the carriage ASAP Christmas is coming ! Pics Soon !  Kudos to Michael ! and cheers to you EL Cazador 66.  ;D

EL Cazador 66 .,Wow nice 24 pounder., and the carriage., those wheels are pretty attractive., I may have to steal that idea., thats a sharp new cannon to be sure sir ! Are you building these carriages.,when you get a cannon from Michael.,or is he ? They are very well made ! Beautiful .,the steps on the cheeks., length.,height., everything is spot on with your cannons.

Rickk

Substantially louder., actually hugely louder., I have several 1" cannons.,the mortar is not as loud as my 1" cannons to be sure.,but this new cannon is louder than all my other 1" cannons . This was my design., I didnt know it was on his website., I am honored.  I am glad he has takin a likin to it himself., I highly recommend this bad boy., It my MOST GUN in the smallest package combo I got.If it catches on Michaels got a winner on this one , After I finish trunnion caps., I will send Michael., photos and a video., this one deserves its own page on his website.
Also I see an awesome Golf-Ball howitzer hes got on the website too !., I may be adding that one as well !!! And I saw The Super X Dictator/Seige Mortar at 1" bore ., *Sigh* I need a few  side jobs to keep up   ;D

I am grateful for this beauty ., its for the table next to my easy chair.,So I can tell stories to grand  children., then show them it ROMPS.

Hey Tropico, thanks!! It came together nicely.. Brass wheels do give it a different look, when they patinas I think it will look nicer. The carriage is a kit by Canadian Cannon.. I had this sitting around for over with out a barrel.. After I saw your custom 24 pdr by brooks I desided to have Michael cut one for me, all doe it's slighty different cut then I wanted, I'm still very happy the way it came out.. I know you build your own carriages but you look at Bill's web site Canadian Cannons his link is on cannon & mortar supply list.. check it out!

Fire in the hole!!

This gun came from Germany.  The muzzle ring was squared and a larger diameter  dimaeter muzzle ring was added.  Made the barrel muzzle heavy, but also in theory made the gun easier to aim.

I have been working with the gun to make it shoot and finally figured it out.  The bore is .458.  The club furnishes powder ball and wad.  Club balls are .452.  This past weekend I got a hold of some balls the were .457.  My first string scored a 37 as I had to find a new aim point with the larger balls.  My Second string scored a 44  and got some ooh's and aaah's.  Nobody can ever remember the club gun shooting this good.

I am going to draw this gun up and make the drawing available to our sponsors. Maybe we can convince one of them to do a GBO-BPM&C special limited edtion subscription run.

This design is pretty straight forward the barrel is a straight taper from Cascabel to muzzle flare.  The reinforcing rings are flat topped and on the same taper as the barrel.

If you want to do videos on the cheap here's a link to a video camera that lists for $130, it also records sound and is a plug and play direct to your computers usb port.

I've had an opportunity to test one and it works great.

Oh !  :o  no.,you guys got me all wrong. I have a digi-cam that does video. A Kodak Z700 it takes great video/sound and photos.  I just need the time to setup up.,fire while shooting the cam. then clean the cannon., in order to make a video. I wont have that time for a couple weeks. I gotta go to Mexico - Los Algodones- then Yuma ., then I will have time to make a 1" boomer video.

Backyard cannon fun at Yuma is pretty fun

Now if you look closely at these Projo's you will see they weigh 1500 lbs each and are 16 inch Diameter. Rounds for USS Missouri and the like. Also notice the sign .,which I love.., " Wahner E. Brooks Historical Exhibit" "His Dream is Realized"

not exactly a rocket... it is a bomb.

MOAB = Mother Of All Bombs

I think it weighs 50,000 #

They dropped one or two in Iraq... this one is a "display model"

I have been staring at the picture of the MOAB and also staring at the Mcmansion next door that spoiled my fun and thinking. Well after some deep thought I came to the conclusion my house would also be in the crater Thus I would be cutting my nose off to spite my face. Well it's nice to dream...................

rays89...

I helped design this thing...

  <--- AGM-114 Hellfire

It has a tad more precision than the MOAB
