My opinion is that it's too bad they didn't neuter themselves during their "accidents" to eliminate their potential of infecting the gene pool with stupity!

That ain't good.

I wonder if it's the same officer who unintentionally discharged his gun in his apartment doing quick draw practice, and then a few years later had a ND in his car on a traffic stop with his shotgun  ? I would not want to work with that guy, and sure would feel sorry for any officers who do. I don't think he works around here now, but I was told he is still in LE.

Man it's sick to watch that. There are so many bad things I am not allowed to say about that in this forum.
Wow. And to think there are a lot of people that do stuff like that, and even more who have probably been killed by them.

That aint nothing. A coupel of weeks ago on the news they showed a video of some Los Angeles Sherrifs, they had a suspect cornered. He wasn't surrendering, so a bunch of them started popping off rounds. The fired 120 rounds at this guy through his windshied. They only hit him 4 tiimes, wounding him. And one of the officers was hit too.
Ohhhh, I hate when that happens

After seeing them clips it only reaffirms to me that some people should not be allowed to breed.

Both of those guys should be beat with a cinder block for even holding a gun. The guy that was instructing the class should never be allowed to breed. Its amazing how stupid some people can be. :(

I'm shocked some law enforcement personnel know nothing about their weapons.  An officer known to me asked me to clean his off duty weapon for him.  The gun was loaded and rusted shut.  I ended up soaking the gun in solvent to be able to eject the chambered round.  This was around 1970.  I hope he has learned something by now.  I always demanded my officers be VERY familiar with their weapons.  In twenty years of law enforcement, I never had a problem.  And I was Federal.
I am amazed.

My favorite part of the DEA show & tell clip is after he shoots himself with the pistol and picks up the rifle the crowed starts screaming "no.. no... not the rifle!  PLEASE don't pick up the rifle!"    :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D

He should be the poster child for steroid abuse.

I think these days and times the agencys are more concerned with brain power than marksmanship skills...shame too as the firearm you carry is there to protect ones brain!! It's just a piece of the pie....I remember several individuals during my weapons qualifications that had never fired a weapon of any type in their lives....one guy quit after the first day...he couldn't reload his magazine and the range officer got really up tight with him waiting on him....he didn't show the second day.... A real hard nose... went thru all the other training and quit....guess the R.O. hurt his feelings....and he wanted to go into law enforcement????..

Sadly this is too true. As one of my instructors said, "common sense and law enforcement no longer go together". Firearms training seems to be lacking in many departments too, but I still see many officers around here who enjoy shooting, hunting, and regularly practice with their duty guns.

I'm not saying brain power isn't more important than shooting skills they just go together in in my opinion.....smarts is needed more today than ever.....especially in court....which brings up this funny I got today...

BEST COMEBACK LINE OF THE YEAR

If you ever testify in court, you might wish you could have been as sharp as this policeman.

He was being cross-examined by a defense attorney during a felony trial.  The lawyer was trying to undermine the policeman's credibility..

Q: "Officer -- did you see my client fleeing the scene?"
A: "No sir. But I subsequently observed a person matching the
description of the offender, running several blocks away."

Q: "Officer -- who provided this description?"
A: "The officer who responded to the scene."

Q: "A fellow officer provided the description of this so-called
offender. Do you trust your fellow officers?"
A: "Yes, sir. With my life."

Q: "With your life? Let me ask you this then, officer. Do you have a
room where you change your clothes in preparation for your daily duties?"
A: "Yes sir, we do."

Q: "And do you have a locker in the room?"
A: "Yes sir, I do."

Q: "And do you have a lock on your locker?"
A: "Yes sir."

Q: "Now why is it, officer, if you trust your fellow officers with your  life, you find it necessary to lock your locker in a room you share with  these same officers?"
A: "You see, sir -- we share the building with the court complex, and  sometimes lawyers have been known to walk through that room."

The courtroom erupted in laughter, and a prompt recess was called. The  officer on the stand has been nominated for this year's "Best Comeback" line -- and we think he'll win.

In Vegas, they like to play Russian  Roulette with perps while they handcuff them:
http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=negligence.mpg

In Lansing, Michigan, the tactical (START) team followed an unarmed drug suspect from his home to a supermarket, where they jumped him in a busy parking lot. Once they had determined he was unarmed and had him cuffed, he was led to the van with a Glock in his back. The bozo holding the Glock was trying to hold a few pounds pressure on the trigger in case he needed to fire it. When stepping up into the paddy wagon, this elite cop tensed his trigger finger a little extra and stuck a bullet in the suspect. Publically, the Lansing PD seemed to take an "oops, accidents happen" attitude and the cop was never  punished, or if he was, it wasn't publicized.

My 16yr olds comment. "Doesent he know to keep his finger off the trigger till you are ready to shoot".  "Hope he's not a cop". My sentaments exactually.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
