Anyone having luck?
« on: May 23, 2005, 03:29:05 PM »
Anyone had luck so far this year. I took a little time a few weeks ago to do some spinning reel fishing on the creek bank over night. It turned out as a bust. Three small channel cats, one goggle eye, one Grinnell and a gar.

I used crawfish, gold fish, minnows, red worms and glow worms. The moon wasn’t right but the water level was moving as it should. Better luck next time I hope.

How bout you all… any luck so far????

Take Care,
Scott

The channels are spawning here, so I've been catching em on bait as well as jigs.
Hey, hold my beer and watch this.

2 buddies and I went out this past Friday night.  We caught 2 one pounder Blues just after dark and then nothing the rest of the night.  We're having a pretty bad drought this year and water levels are way down. Local bait shop owner says he's heard the same story all summer.  We just need about 2 weeks of constant slow rain to get the creeks up and running again.
