Question about pmc .41 mag.
« on: May 23, 2005, 06:39:46 PM »
Is it ok to shoot pmc's .41 mag tcsp in a leveraction without causing a mag detonation? I've asked this before on another site and got mixed answers. Some say I can and some say I can't. Hopefully someone can help me here.

SODak;

You should have no trouble with that trunacated cone shaped bullet in a lever action. The shape of the bullet actually surrounds the outer edge of the primer, heck, even round nosed bullets make more contact on the primer surface center. I'd go ahead and shoot em, they are a really good factory load.
Good shooting.

:cb2: I had the same concern about shooting LRN .38 Spl. in my gun, and got mixed answers. Called Marlin, and they said it was fine. So if a round nose bullet is OK, the trunacated shouldn't be a problem.
