Hi Rick

I live near Stittsville. I hunt deer in the area with bow and shotgun. I want to get into ML and am doing my research as to what gun to go with. Nice to hear from Canadians.
One good shot is all you need.

Hi Guys

Just noticed the Canuck section. I'm 100KMs NE of Calgary. Has any one answered Graybeard's whats a Red Green? It's the President of CP Rail oh I'm sorry that's his ......... brother Fred. You know I'm going to get fired over this if I were to fill in the blanks. They let me drive their trains for them. I'm surprised there isn't more Albertans here, maybe we're just a quiet bunch.

You know this sounds a little like a dateing service. I like hunting, fishing and rolling naked in bear grease to bait coyots. ;D ;D Don't mind me I've been up most of the night babysiting my smoker. Just made the wife and I Western sandwiches with some of the smoked meat that just came out of the smoker. It's like a combination Montreal Smoked Meat and pastrami. You inject the rounds(mostly) with brine, roll them in cracked black pepper, lay them in a tub weighted for a week in the fridge, take them out smoke them for four hours then raise your temperature to 210F and cook till internal temperture reaches 165F and then off to the cooler for 24 hours. Meat stays a blood red and is still moist. A raise of hands who's hungry now.

Great site found it a couple of weeks ago.

Greetings from Nova Scotia,

I farm in the Annapolis Valley and in my spare time chase whitetails, black bear and the occasional moose in Newfoundland. I also collect Remington Model 8/81's.

Regards,

Larry

Welcome aboard guys!

It's been killing me for a couple of days now, but I have to know - What's a "Jumper"?

Just in case you didn't get your answer... It's a whitetail deer. And they breed like rats in south-central Manitoba. Lots of twins and triplets.

And that's,

Hi all,

Just found this site while surfing for info for my newest Tikka. I have a blued/synthetic .223 & will be taking delivery of a SS/synthetic .270 Win next week.

I'm in southern Saskatchewan, & recently got back into hunting in the last three years after taking a 13 year break. 20 years ago I was into bird hunting, but now am into Whitetail & Mule deer. I get out every year.

I work in the radio & television field as a technician.

Glad to have found this forum!!  :)

 :o   Hello all!
I haven't been on the board for quite awhile & thought I'd just drop a line. I still hunt out of Thunder Bay [Jellicoe 21A] area every year, usually in the same spot and have had really good luck there. Not this last year however. I picked up a nice Tikka T3 lite synthetic [7lbs,4oz.] and it's real easy to carry all day and very accurate as well].

Hey guys,

I am a member of CGN too, but like the more "outdoors with guns on the side" focus of this site! Anyway, I'm from just outside Saint John, New Brunswick - maybe the black bear capital of the Maritimes?  ;D I dunno, there's lots of bears and ducks around here, so that's what I like to hunt! I'm also into motorcycles, especially street-and-trails, and I like deep sea fishing (handlining for mackerel) but am a pretty sucky fisherman for trout and anything else fished with a rod.
My avatar is pretty much what I look like out in the woods - except I am not a "chick" in any sense of the word.
