Ok this question is for the truely experience Brown Bear Hunters. We have a family friend who agreed to let me use his Kodiak Express for a Brown Bear Hunt!!!! He used it in Africa and said this gun would pretty much drop anything. He said it shoots .72 cal rounds, 700+grains and around 1700 fps (had it chronographed not to exceed pressures) It has had black powder loads only in it and not the fancy british stuff. According to the Thornily (hope that is how it's spelled) scale it has enough power to easily take Pooh. Questions are is this an accurate enough scale to base a decision on? Will a double rifle be to unweildy to hunt with? Lastly if murphy sneaks up and Pooh likes my skin as much as I like his will the second barrel have enough ummph to deter Pooh? Thanks.
