Which stabilizer?
« on: June 02, 2005, 10:47:56 PM »
Was browsing around for a new stabilizer, and looking at the Exchanger from Trophy Ridge and the Sims modular. Would like to hear from someone who owns one of these.

Which stabilizer?

I don't have either, but I hear Sims is the way to go.  But if you have a newer good quality bow, you really don't need to spend a lot on a stabilizer.  The new bows are dampened very well already.  I have  a Hoyt X-TEC and bought a low end stabilizer with rubber inserts and it has no noticeable recoil or vibrations.
The Sims and the like are more for the older bows w/out big time recoil and vibs.  They will tell you that everyone needs one.
