Open sights on rifle barrels
« on: June 05, 2005, 06:38:50 AM »
I just got a .357 mag barrel back from the factory and it had a nice set of Williams sights on the barrel instead of the older style sights NEF used. Does anyone know if all new barrels will have these sights or if they are available per special request ? Thanks in advance.

I think all the new barrels are coming with those sights. There was a thread relating to what you want to know

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I would say they are the standard sight that H&R is putting on the iron sighted barrels now since they also come on the 44 mag, 45-70 and 30-30  barrels. I'm sure it could be ordered from Williams or H&R, all you need to tell Willaims is the barrel diameter and hole spacing. All the WGOS sights are listed in the 2005 Williams catalog. A call or email to H&R should work too...
